Keik Bakeshop in Pembroke Pines, Florida, is a popular spot known for its aesthetic and varied menu, blending sweet and savory options.
What Makes it Unique
- Decor and Vibe: The bakeshop is famous for its charming, all-pink decor, which is described as cozy, welcoming, and “Instagram-worthy.” The attention to detail, from heart-shaped platters and straws to cherry blossom decorations, creates a “Pink Paradise” experience inspired by French cafes.
- Menu Concept: It offers more than just desserts, functioning as a full restaurant with options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, alongside its signature “Keiks” (cakes) and pastries. The menu is noted for visually attractive dishes and a blend of traditional favorites with new, creative flavors, often incorporating Venezuelan roots.
History
Keik Bakeshop was co-founded by Wilfredo Ulacio and Alejandra Romero in 2020 with its first location in Doral, Florida. The two became friends while working together in a Miami kitchen, where they mass-produced desserts for other restaurants, accumulating the experience needed to start their own venture. The concept, colors (especially the signature pink), and menu were Wilfredo’s ideas, while Alejandra handled the execution, process creation, and business plan. Partners Carla Villalobos and Pedro Torres later joined the team. The Pembroke Pines location is noted as the first location in Broward County.
